Disney Events, Parties, and Streetmosphere (2012-15)
Throughout my time at Disney, I worked on a large number of park-wide events, parties, and streemosphere. Some of these had been ongoing for decades and I had been given the privilege of being the art director for them - this included both keeping true to beloved aspects of the events, as well as designing exciting new attractions to keep the guest experience fresh every year. MICKEY'S VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS PARTY (MAGIC KINGDOM)
The holidays are Magic Kingdom's busiest times of the year, and its hard ticket Christmas party is one of Magic Kingdom's two most popular yearly events. I did design work for Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party from 2013-14, and was assigned as art director in 2015.
As this park-wide party attracts many repeat guests who love seeing familiar events year after year, part of my scope involved both keeping true to the expected creative quality of these traditions. However, there were new attractions every year as well - below are a couple parts of MVMCP that I designed updates for in 2015.
DISNEY'S ANIMAL KINGDOM STREETMOSPHERE
This was actually one of my first projects at Disney - back in 2012! These permanent stages were intended to provide atmospheric entertainment in the Asia and Africa sections of Animal Kingdom. This was my first of many projects at Disney that I saw through from beginning to end - concept illustration for approval, creation of production artwork for the vendors, and art directing installation in the field.
DOWNTOWN DISNEY'S FESTIVAL OF THE MASTERS
I was assigned as the art director to this event in 2013. At 38 years of occurring annually, at the time it was Disney World's longest-running event, although the festival halted when Downtown Disney underwent construction to later become Disney Springs. As a festival that celebrated Disney artists, it was a beloved event for both Disney fans and the Orlando community.

HOLLYWOOD STUDIOS ROCK YOUR SUMMER SIDE PARTY
IN 2014, Disney's Hollywood Studios had a daily special event dance party at the Sorcerer's Hat Icon Stage. This fun event encouraged guests to dance with characters and livened up the main boulevard of the park.
