Oreo Hands Free Dunk (2017)
To celebrate Oreo's 105th anniversary, Oreo wanted to bring back an experience in the birthplace of the Oreo cookie - Chelsea Market in Manhattan, NYC. To promote Oreo, we pitched, designed, and produced the idea of a "Hands-Free Dunk". Using cutting edge technology that allowed guests to wear a headset and move an Oreo to dunk into a cup of milk using only their powers of concentration, we created a one-day pop-up experience with a showing by Oreo spokesperson Shaquille O'Neal.
My role in this event was to provide art direction and develop graphic designs & animation to find creative, attention-catching and fun ways to draw people into the venue and create buzz. I was given a style guide to follow, but in many of these designs I created additional (approved) illustrations to enhance the visual experience in the space.
Here is just a few of the designs I created for this space.
Skills: Concept illustration, graphic design, creation of design/schematic drawings for scenic fabrication & print, managing vendors, art directing install on-site.
